Things have been so hectic lately on all fronts that I have not really had time to put in the log the details of "THE BIG MOVE TO THE HANGAR"!!! Man I thought this day would never come....admittedly I have restrained from moving it down as long as I could in order to take every moment advantage of the climate controlled basement and workshop at the house.....but after much prodding from my mentors I finally felt it was time....I had done all that I could do.
With that I spoke with Rob and he was avaliable on Saturday March 16th and was willing to help make it happen! Being the one with several moves of airplanes he became "move director" of the operation although I reserved my rights as "executive director" to concur with the process.
We had a great crew of experience there( yeah....translate that to a bunch of old guys!) that have the know how to get it done right and safely. I can't express my gratitude enough for Rob Brooks, Ralph Hoover, Jim Andrews, and our tow truck owner Kenny Embrey from Kenny's Towing.
After having breakfast to ensure all the work crew was totally "fed up" we dragged the fuselage from the shop in back and got it in the driveway or gravel runway at my house.
