Brief Description:  Upper Cowl Work

I did some sanding to some areas of SuperFil that I had on the upper cowling. I then shot some primer on because that really shows the flaws. After spraying primer on the oil door area and the left side repair area and allowing the primer to dry I sanded it with 400 grit. Some minor flaws appeared and I mixed a batch of Evercoat and spread some on the areas.

I was looking to perhaps spray the fiberglass parts with epoxy primer tomorrow as the weather is looking really good.....but there is too much prep on some of these parts to do yet. I will probably have to wait until next week. No sense at trying to rush it at this point. I will focus on getting the stuff ready to move to the hangar this weekend.

Speaking of that......I spent several hours down the hangar yesterday getting it swept and cleaned out. I assembled some shelving that I had bought on sale at Costco. I have two smaller units that still need to be assembled. Had visitors Jim, Sarah, and Ralph visit....Ralph lent a hand putting the second shelf together....it's a little clumsy until you get the first shelf on....

It was a nice break as the weather was beautiful yesterday and I simply pushed the brooms and assembled the shelves without any radio on but just enjoyed the gorgeous weather and the airport ambiance with the music of aircraft in the background dancing in the sky......my hope is soon so will I join them.
