Brief Description: Wheel Pants and Gear Fairings Nutplates & Priming
Today Rob came over again. He had thought to help with putting nutplates on the wheel fairings that I had completed the final fiberglass work. He got things set up and started working the nutplates. I assisted him when needed after locating the tools and hardware that was needed for getting the nutplates installed.
In between working with Rob when needed, I worked on doing some sanding on the fairings for the vertical and horizontal stabs. After getting that done I got out the can of Smooth Prime gave coats to the three fairings. I also grabbed the empennage fairing and gave a coat of Smooth Prime. I let them dry and gas-off real well before recoating. Since my shop sits at about 22% humidity the drying process works great....but I still give it ample time to dry. I decided to put off the second coat until tomorrow.
