Brief Description:  More Avionics, Electrical Work, and Fiberglass

Got another good day in on the project. Ralph once again came out to "play" at the shop and get some work on the project.

Once again worked on final aspects of the wiring, panel, and fiberglass. Ralph worked on the wires for the strobes and trim actuator while I set up the saw horses outside in what was beautiful weather and worked the oil door on the top cowl.

Ralph routed and terminated all the wires in the tail section which is all that can be done until final assembly of the control surfaces. I was playing gopher whenever Ralph would beckon he needed my help or parts and hardware.

After that Ralph climed into the cockpit and continued working on the switch indicator lights and the AOA sisplay and GPS antenna. I got on the mill and modified the rear cover on the AOA display by making a small slot in the cover for the wire to exit the back as we found there was no room to come out of the bottom as we hoped. Yesterday I drilled an alternate hole location for going down through the glare sheild. Seems like when you make things that modifications have to be done during final assembly. In reality Ralph finished up the panel and it is really ready to go.

I worked the oil door and got it in pretty good shape. Need more filler around the edges and a bit more work....but it is getting sanded into shape!

Much thanks again to Ralph for spending time to lend a hand today!!!
