Brief Description:  Instrument Panel Work

Ralph came over in the afternoon again and we continued to work the instrument panel.

We worked on a bunch of details and of course had to solve several glitches that arise as things get installed for the final fittings and installation.

The AOA bracket and glaresheild had to be modified for the wire and display. Then the back cover for the display had to be modified on the mill for wire passage. Next we found the wire hole in the glaresheild had to be changed in location and modified. We should be able to complete that in the next work session.

We installed the duct for the BAV on the left side of the panel that prooved a bit challenging. I had to make more Acetel washers for various switches and experimented with reducing the size of nylon washers....fixture one failed due to a too fragile fixture.....the concept and process will work I just have to make the fixture correctly as I felt this fixture may be destined to failure....so it was.

By the end of the session more progress had been made on many items!

Thanks again to Ralph for enduring a long cockpit session on poor seat cushions.
