Brief Description: Landing Gear Upper Fairings......more work
Went into the shop earlier in the morning and decided to lay up a bit more fiberglass on some areas of the left and right upper landing gear fairings. The right landing gear fairing has been a bit more work over the process.
I built up the trailing edge of the right fairing a little more as well as a gap in the fairing along the landing gear fairing itself. I also put a little more flox and fglass on the leading edge of the left landing gear fairing to smooth the radius a little more.
I allowed everything to cure while my wife and I had things to get done as well as attend an airport gathering. Later in the afternoon we had some visitors.
I finally got into the shop for a little more work in the evening. With the fglass and flox cured from this morning, I popped the fiberglass fairings off and sanded the leading edge of the left fairing before heading in for the night.
A day of a broken up short session.....the key is....I got something done!
