Brief Description:  Flox Wheel Pants

I removed the wheel pants last session to apply flox between the wheel pant and the bracket due to a gap that needs to be filled. The gaps weren't real large but enough that the fiberglass would bow in when the screw was tightened. Some gaps were more than others so I just floxed them all.

As always getting the process worked out is always the challenge on the "first one" and such was the case this time. I laid out the flox and then figured I would get smart and place a small piece of fiberglass over it to keep the flox captured and nice and tidy. Well that was a mistake....it caused me grief and the additional epoxy in the fiberglass seemed to thin out the flox. So the execution of getting the wheel pant on was a bit frustrating. I finally got it there and sitting to cure.....but I immediatly redesigned the process for the next one.

I mixed more flox and applied it to the right wheel pant halves sans any cloth. I went over and using an awl to get things lined up made it a bit easier....but still not a cake walk. I got it in place with far less drama and time and is also curing. Now we wait......for a cure to come along.....
