Brief Description:  Putting in Single-lug Nutplates to finish Wing Fai

Three single lug nutplates were needed for areas where dual lug nutplates would not work. Two of them are located where the holes go closely to the main spar through the spar flange. The other one goes near the rear spar on the trailing edge of the wing. So I needed a total of six single lug K2100-08 (now known as MS21053-L08). Rob thought he had some in his hardware and I went to his hangar and found he had enough for my needs with a dozen left to spare!

Today I installed the nutplates so the installation is complete until the wings get installed and the bottom fairing on the fuselage gets completed.

One other note is there is the top of the wing nutplate that goes behind the main spar and is inside the wing. We decided that it is at a very difficult place to buck so we used a two lug nutplate and used BSC-34 pull rivets to attach them. Remember...the rivets are only to keep the nutplate from twisting and have no real structural value and hold one screw on the fairing.
