Worked on a few miscellaneous items last night after getting Robs squeezers and a few nutplates out of his benchstock.
I started by riveting the eight nutplates that hold the inspection panels in the very back of the tail section of the fuselage. I also had some rivets that couldn't be squeezed with my large yoke on the pneumatic squeezer. Using Rob's 1 1/2 inch yoke squeezer I was able to get to two more and then used cherry max for the other two that are most forward.
Next I decided to rework the Alternate Air door attachment by using a longer screw with another nut to make the screw more secure like a stud which was a thought that Rob and I spoke about a while back. The double nut set up works a lot better and makes for a sturdier solution.
I also looked at making rubber bumpers for the front seat back where it sits on the roll bar so I happen to have some rubber edging and will try to use that and glue to the seat.
Finally I was fiddling more with the empennage fairing and decided I need a little more filler on a few places on the mating surfaces so I placed tape on and will lay a bit more filler next session.
