Brief Description:  Cowls, Landing Gear Wheel Fairings and Oil Door

Good day of work was completed in the shop!

I go out and removed the oil door from its place to reveal the opening. It came out pretty easily the way I had it set up. I then sanded the flox around the door as well as some other areas on the cowl that I had put filler yesterday. As expected I knew it would need filler so I got a batch of Superfil mixed up and re-taped around the door area and spread the filler and put it aside to cure.

I then worked again on sanding the wheel fairings. Rob texted me and said he would be done work early and was willing to come and lend a hand.....once again I gladly took him up on the offer! I continued sanding while there was still daylight to use outside for a little while while Rob worked on the pitch control system in the shop.

So pretty much plain old tedious sanding on my part for a lot of this session but the weather has been great and I just put on music or listen to program or two and work the parts.....it's all part of the project!

On another note.....this log entry puts me just past the 3900 hour mark on the build.....sad isn't it!
