Brief Description:  Lower Cowl Sanding

To modify an old "bubble gum" pop song from the 70's "We had joy, we had fun, we did sanding in the sun......."

Another beautiful day although a little cooler and a bit breezier also. I got outside as the sun came to my back yard work area and only had a short time to work due to an eye specialist appointment in early afternoon. So I continued sanding the lower cowl to where it needs to be.

Yesterday I placed more Smooth prime on the ramp area that had a courser texture on it for whatever reason when it was manufactured and the initial three coats of Smooth prime didn't quite fill the weaves. Instead of using the foam roller I used the foam brush and applied a single good coat of Smooth prime going perpendicular to the weave. I began sanding that area and is seems that the coat I put on yesterday filled the weave and did the job.

Alas I took a break to head to the doctor appointment which took about 2.5 hours and didn't get me home till after 1600 which meant about all the light was gone.....besides they dialated my eyes and I was half blind until past 8 pm.....so the rest of the day was shot on building....well tomorrow is another day!
