While I was doing the arduous and dusty job of sanding outdoors....Rob was doing the meticulous and precision job of putting the control column, pushrods, and bell crank in the airplane. Fortunately Rob is getting the read on my cluttered shop organization and knows pretty much which "pile" I keep the tools....rivets...and hardware in and was able to find what he needed (this is not easy no doubt for him since his shop and tools are the epitome of organization to the point of OCD which is better than my system....but I go in spirts of clutter to clean only when the neat gene kicks in from time to time....haha)
Anyway, Rob got the parts and hardware and got to assemblying. It is great to have someone like Rob who I have confidence in his care and workmanship. I will double check just because that is how we roll in the E/AB world. He got the rods in and made all the adjustments for the control column adjusted and everything to the bellcrank.
He also got the baggage area panels riveted together which I hadn't done yet with the high quality work he always does.
Finally I ran out of sunlight and time as we had a dinner appointment with the neighbors accross the street.....but a great day of bullwork and precision work.....progress was made!!!
