Brief Description:  Sand Top Cowl and Snorkel

Another beautiful day for sanding outside. I went out to the yard and set up the saw horses and began sanding the Smooth prime on the top cowl. I really should have filled the honeycomb divots like I have done on the bottom cowl.....just when I think I got them all more begin to pop up. Hopefully the bottom cowl will be much better since I did a skim coat of Superfil and sanded it smooth.

I try to keep in the sunlight because it really helps in showing the places that need sanding. I can pretty much tell using tactile feel but good light (and the right kind of light) really helps during the sanding. The angle of the sun changed so much with our heading towards the winter that I have to go almost to the back of the shop to stay in sunlight.

I completed the cowl and move on to the snorkel. By the time I got the snorkel about 3/4 of the way sanded the light was getting too dim to work around 4:30 pm. We will pick it up again tomorrow.

Happy Veterans Day to all the veterans out there.....thank you for your service!
