Brief Description: Lower Cowl, Emp Fairing, VS Fairing
Got into the shop late last night and worked on more glass.
The upper cowl still has some small divots in it from the honeycomb. I decided to spread some thin coats of filler over the areas of divots. They are shallow and I want to see how the puddy will do as most of the puddy will be removed. As I stated before the divots were a pain to deal with when putting on the Smooth prime. I changed the process on the lower cowl by spreading Superfil over the honeycomb area and sanding it prior to coating with Smooth prime......it made a BIG difference. If it works I will do the rest of the areas and then probably smooth prime one more coat.
Went to the empennage fairing next and did a bunch of sanding and blending. After that I mixed some micro and coated a few areas on the fairing. I then spread some of the micro on the vertical stabilizer fairing to get that blended and worked into shape.
