Brief Description: Bottom Cowl and Empennage Fairing
Was a beautiful day yesterday so I was able to go out and get some things done after work.
I want to get the smooth prime working on the bottom cowl.....the last "large" piece I have to get primed with the pinhole remover. I am very glad that I took the time to put the Superfil over the honeycomb area of the outside cowl.....it it making the Smooth Prime go on very nicely! I had to do a little sanding for some spots I had filled with fglass but I did complete one coat today.
I went on to the empennage fairing afterware. I had to do quite a bit of trimming and sanding on the profile and general cleaning up on it. The last thing I did was get more glass laid down where it needed to be filled so I can work more on it tomorrow.
The fairing is very stout.....I have decided to go with fewer screws on the fairing.....just got to figure out which ones.....
