Brief Description:  Empennage Fairing #2 & Baggage Door

I got the remaining hardware in today that I needed to complete putting the pneumatic cylinder to prop up the forward baggage door and took a few minutes to put it together.........all works well!!!

I had consulted with Rick earlier on attacking the modifications on the empennage fairing as he is the best when it comes to fiberglass work. Using the Marco Polo app and the phone afterward Rick once again gave me some great Technical Support(which actually comes from the US haha) I got the materials together cut the cloth and was ready to attack the matter.

Rick is a supporter of using the slow hardener for the epoxy and when we were doing the windscreen we used it as it has more working time then the fast. Rob had some sitting around that we used back then and I used tonight. I was a little concerned about the hardener....the pump didn't seem to be working great.....but after making several pumps it seemed like it may be ok.

I cut all the pieces as discussed and got clay where it needed to go and then began to sand and scarf some areas of the fairing.

With that done I began the process of laying it all up and putting peel ply on as best as I could.....now we will wait till tomorrow,
