I removed the F-8106 fairing from the right side of the fuselage in order to trim it. About 1/4 inch had to be trimmed to align it with the fiberglass fairing edge. I marked it and redrew the radius to the corner and after a couple trim iterations I had it in alignment. Then it was the debur, file, smooth, and polish routine and it was finished.
I clecoed the fairing in place and looked at the fit. I am going to lay some micro along the edges to get the fit just right. That meant I needed to remove some of the blue plastic further away from the fairing so I did so on sll the affected surfaces. I drew a line with my blue marker to outline the fairing. I will put plenty of packing tape on the surfaces to be certain it will keep clean of epoxy and strip off well after it cures.
