I got out in the shop early afternoon and was doing a little straightening out before getting back to work on the project. Ralph texted me and said it was too hot working in his hangar (temp was 96 degrees yesterday....supposed to be 98 through Thursday!!!) and wanted to know if I wanted some help.....as always I accepted!!
Ralph came over and worked the wires while I was doing other misc tasks. He worked the CHT and EGT probe wires and laid out the wires for the spark plugs. He also looked at the wiring for the Red Cube that is ready for connection.
I on the other hand was busied with miscellaneous items. The standby alternator was bolted on and torqued so I connected the wires and torqued the nut for the feed wire and the connector. The other day we removed the Oil Filler tube to get the screw for the right rear baffle installed....there is just no easy way to get that screw installed without removing the oil tube! So it still needed to be safety wired which I completed.
In between that I set up outside to prep for laying more Smooth Prime on fiberglass parts. Over the course of the work session got the first coat on a number of parts. It was hot outside but it only takes a few minutes to roll on a coat of the primer with the foam roller.
Thanks again to Ralph for more assistance on the bringing the project closer to the finish line!
