So I worked all day on sanding the cowls and some other fiberglass parts. I began with the bottom cowl. I had already did a test area where I wanted to see how the Super Fil would work to get the divots in the center of the honeycomb filled. This took a lot of work with the Smooth Prime for the top cowl and I didn't want to do that again.
I sanded the test patch off until the superfil got thin enough to see the honeycomb. It seemed to fill in the divots excellently! I plan on doing the whole area where the honeycomp matte is placed.
I then used sandpaper to take off the shiney glaze off the wheel fairings....I use 150 grit which does a good job.
The temperature has risen again but it was bearable doing the work in the shade.
