Brief Description: Left Front Baffle and Alt Air Bracket
Got a little shop time in after a week long work trip.
I made a bracket that Ralph gave me a pattern for that fits over two bolts on the forward valve cover that holds the Alternate Air cable. I fashioned the bracket and drilled it for the locations on the two screws for the valve bracket. I set the bracket on the cover along with two washers in back to fill in the gap on the valve cover due to the lip on the cover.
I then drilled the final hole in the bracket for the -4 Adel clamp that would hold the cable. I put the secondary rear clamp on the rear cylinder oil drain line per Vans instructions.
I decided to temporarily install the left front baffle to make sure nothing interferred with the clamp and the cable. The baffle took a little bit of fiddling with but looks like all is good. I will need to remove it in order to finish off some snorkel work....but at least all is looking good so far.
