Brief Description:  Torque Stby Alternator & Alt Air Flange

I got the Standby Alternator nuts torqued....couldn't easily locate my torque seal...so will do that another day.

Moved back on to the Alternate Air door. Both the flange and the door are cut in such a way that the outside diameters are cut in a series of angles and are very rough. Using the belt sander, deburring scotch wheel, files and sanding block I got them all smoothed out and looking round and decent.

I then proceeded to dimple the rivet holes to attach the flange and the nutplate, countersunk the holes in the snorkle and riveted the bottom nutplate to end the night.

I am planning to keep the door and flange unpainted so that the heat of the engine area doesn't cause any paint to become tacky and hinder the alternate air door from opening if it is needed.
