I got a little work done tonight before leaving for a work trip.
I started by making a 2 5/8 diameter disc out of a stiff white piece of cardboard and using it to place over the hole in the snorkel and marked the material that had to be taken out to enlarge the hole. I then used a sanding drum on the dremmel to open it up to size.
With that done I match drilled the holes into the snorkel from the door flange. I then drilled the 1/4 clearance hole for the nutplate at the bottom.
The instructions call for bending the tab at the top of the door flange to make a stop for the door as it slides into the flange. A little time and a little more progress tonight!
