Brief Description: Install Snorkel to fit Alt Air Door
I actually started the session tonight with getting some more Smooth Prime on the top cowling where there were still some small divots from the honeycomb. Looks like I have those fairly well covered now and I will sand the top cowl so see what it looks like before applying any more coats of primer.
Next I went to the snorkel. I wanted to get it on and get the hole located and put into the snorkel for the alternate air door. After reading the instructions and marking some lines on the snorkel I was able to use the flange to locate where the door would go. I marked the location for the alternate air door with the flange and then marked the center point. I put a pilot hole in the snorkel and then using my 2 1/2 inch hole saw from my tools cut the hole in the location. The hole callout is 2 5/8 so I will have to do a little enlarging with the dremmel to get it up to size.
