Got a little shop time in and wanted to get some odds and ends taken care of tonight.
I started by installing the AOA module on the baggage wall that I had removed when I had to rivet the top skin on the airplane. The module was in the way of a number of rivet locations so I figured it would be good just to remove it. Got it installed and neatened up some wiring and AOA hoses and added some tie wraps as well.
There is a wire bundle that is right by the sensor manifold that I didn't like as I felt the potential for chaffing was too great. I pondered the location and decided to make a little bracket for the current set up. I got a piece of 1 inch aluminum angle and measured and contoured the bracket to fit on one of the manifold bolts. Satisfied with the result I painted the bracket and hung it up to dry till tomorrow.
Finally I checked the torque on the cover for the tachometer connection and safety wired it. The connection is for aircraft that use mechanical tachometrs that use a cable. With my Pmag electronic ignition the engine tach reading comes from the ignitions so a cover is installed to keep junk from the opening.
