The manufacturer states that the friction is preset....but I like the option of changing the friction. After Rob and I chatting we felt the best way would be to use a screw and drill and tap the area where the barrel fit into the quad frame....this would stop any rotation....I put it into the mill and executed the plan.
I am going to make a knurled handle to replace the nut on the bolt that will allow for adjusting the friction. The quad is of high quality and well engineered....but I will make that change to the friction control.
With the throttle quadrant modified and together we went through the process of installing it into the fuselage and got the cables all hooked up. Felt good to get into the shop and as always thanks Rob for his coming over and lending a hand!!!
I went back out into the shop later and added additional clearance for the Aileron Trim Rod cotter pins.
