Brief Description:  Tail Section Work

I decided my strategy was to get the tail section done in order to clean out the area and prepare to install more items.

The wires still needed to be dressed and tied so I got a bag of supplies - ties...wraps...tools and headed down the tail. I dressed, wrapped, and tied the wires as I went down to the narrowest confines of the tail. Tonight I will probably have dreams where I am in a tunnel stuck because I can't go forward or backwards.....I hate those dreams!

Anyway, got the wires all dressed and tied as far as I could and still extricate myself without the assistance of the "jaws of life" from the local fire department. As backed out I removed the floor boards I had placed in the tail to support my frame. Of course dirt and shavings and sundry filth had found their way once again to the tail area floors so I went back in with the vacuum and cleaned.

I then moved up to the bellcrank/baggage area and cleaned as well. I remeasured the board and cut it down to fit with the new obstructions in order to work the elevator control rods which I will be installing.

Well....yesterday's session put me past the 3700 hour mark.....sometimes I feel like I am running up a sandy hill at the beach.....running fast but making slow progress.....some day it will be flying!!
