Today was a day off and the weather was nice so I went outside and set up for more sanding on the cowling.
The pink cowling with the honeycomb mesh sandwiched between the fiberglass layers has been a little bit of a pain as each center of the honeycomb has a small depression so the primer builds with the small depressions in the center and higher over the mesh itself which makes for a little more sanding. Fortunately this stuff sands incredibly easy!!!
When the primer is sanded in many places the little divots are filled....more primer is needed in other places......once again real easy to use!
So I spent the lions share of the session today sanding the cowl into submission with 400 grit sandpaper.
