I got into the shop after a shortened work day and got back to the rear throttle and connection.
I worked on getting the rear throttle guides installed. I set the inboard guide where it really needed to be and in the last session match drilled it in place. I dimpled the metal and countersunk the nylon in order to put the CS4-4 pop rivits in and rivet it in place. I used a 1/8 inch angle to lay against the inboard guide and clamped it tightly in place. I then set the outboard guide against the angle and held it firmly against the angle while drilling and clecoing it in place from the top. I processed the holes and riveted them in place as well.
Testing the handle fit was real good...just a little tightness in the front which I relieved using a sharp Zacto knife and shaved the nylon.....all good!
I installed the lever temporarily and checked and decided I could bend it down just a little bit more on the angle for a more natural reach without getting in the way of the back seater.
It was then attaching the throttle arm......adjusting and tightening the rod ends, which has a bit of a difficulty factor working in the cramped space. Finally it was securing the panel to the side.
