Brief Description:  Rear Throttle

Focused again on seeking to complete the rear throttle lever.

I actually began by working the slot for the lever as it wasn't really nice and symmetrical, so using a couple of different files I was able to get the slot in much better shape.

I then wanted to make sure the throttle in the front and in the back had the same amount of travel so I adjusted the rod ends on both throttle quadrants and ending up doing more work elongating the rear slot more......you don't want the rear throttle hindering the front throttle.

I then marked where I wanted to bend the rear throttle lever. I ran the lever all the way forward and to the rear and marked a perpendicular line across the lever on each end. I didn't want the lever to have the radius where it would enter the slot and bind or hinder movement. Using the marks I set a piece of round stock at the bend location in a vise and made a small bend. I bent it enough to allow for easier use....but not too much to allow it to stick out in the way.

Finally I worked on positioning the nylon throttle guides that will keep the lever centered in the slot and keep it from scraping metal on metal. By the end of the session I got the inboard guide drilled. They will fit underneath the armrest....but easier to match drill from the top.
