When Rob and I were trying to work on the mixture cable and bracket yesterday we tried a number of solutions and gave a brief consideration to the Van's brackets I received with the finish kit but a quick review of taking the brackets and placing them on the main mounting bracket seemed to determine that none would work. I completed yesterdays session with designing a bracket that I would make for the mixture cable.
When I came to the shop today I decided to get a fresh look at the situation. I once again reviewed the two brackets from the Vans kit. I tried the first one on the main bracket using every possible attaching solution....but nothing worked.
I then took the second bracket and started checking out every position possible. I began to see how I could possibly do a little modification and get it to work. After a while of marking, bending, and both modifying and making new holes I got the bracket where it would actually work pretty nicely!
I completed this session a bit relieved that the problem was solved without having to make a whole new bracket! It may need a spacer and just a little more tweaking on the bracket but it works!
