Brief Description:  Taping, Tracing, and Throttle Bracket Making!

Rick continued on with the canopy. Some more sanding and laying down of glass and micro. At this point there is a lot of tedious detail work going on and there doesn't appear to be a lot of physical progress......but a lot of work is in the details.

While Rick was pacing along Rob and I measured the hoses that had to be remade for the oil cooler and the where the Superior propeller governor line needed to be modified.....almost 8 inches has to be removed from the line because it is too long. Tom at TS Flightlines will perform the surgery.

I worked on and off in between on making a bracket for the throttle cable. I got the shape cut out of some surplus 4130 steel and then fiddled around tweaking it by bending it and fitting it once again. It is ready and positioned now I can drill the holes to mount the bracket to the main bracket.

Ralph paid a surprise visit to the shop with a little EGT fixture that he made that marks the location of the hole to be drilled into the exhaust stacks....it was pretty nifty and Ralph actually sat on the rolling stool and marked the locations that the probes can be nicely dressed when running the wires to the GEA 24 module.

Once again I am amazed at the fantastic folks that give their time and great knowledge and skills to help a fellow homebuilder.....thanks again Rick, Rob, and Ralph!!!!
