Brief Description:  Firewall Forward Tasks

While Rick was working the fiberglass, Rob and I were working sundry firewall forward items.

We put the exhaust on the engine in order to get an idea on where the control cables for the throttle, mixture, and prop governor would sit in relation to the stacks.....the cables can be moved..the exhaust has one position that cannot be changed! We discussed the routing of the cables as well as the need for getting one new cable that would be required for the mixture due to my having a throttle quadrant that is non-standard to Vans plans.

Rob had been working on the engine lines that go to the sensor manifold as well as tightening the other lines in the engine compartment area. We ended by connecting the small manifold that goes to the manifold pressure gage and also provides the connection for the Pmags to operate.

Another great day and wonderful to have the help of Rick and Rob!
