I got out in the shop last night and prepped the fuselage for taping in order to bond the windscreen to the airplane.
I cleaned all the skin area with alcahol. This is just initially for the tape to stick well. I laid down the two lines of tape for laying the sika on the aluminum skinn aroung the bottom of the windscreen. As the process goes I laid a layer of black electrical tape followed by another layer of yellow high quality paper tape.
Next I laid tape around the bottom of the windscreen to give me the right gap for the fillet. I had to remove some old tape and plastic since I have never removed the canopy plastic....so it is a work in progress.
Once finished I will remove the windscreen and sand and prep the aluminum and canopy with a light sanding and everything will get cleaned and then the bonding takes place.
