Brief Description:  Windscreen

We got to the place where we had the plane level and then worked on the measuring. The basic process is getting the fairings center point in the front and back to the same measurement. Then it is getting the fairings the same measurement also so they are paraliel to the fuselage centerline.

We diverted for a bit to see if the toe in/out was correct using 4' scales along the wheels. After a lot of measuring and re-measuring and some trigonometry we determined that the left gear has about .82 degrees tow out and the right gear has about .746 degrees tow out! Vans says no more than .25 degrees tow out.....so I have ordered two 3/4 degree shims from Vans which will pretty much make it spot on. With that work halted for the day....will continue when shims come in and are installed.

I stayed in the shop and played some more with the windscreen as this is now a priority to get bonded prior to Rick coming to work on the windscreen/canopy fiberglass at the end of the month.

Thanks again to Rob and Ralph for the great assistance and doing the three Stooges banging of heads together to get things figured out!!!
