The flox from yesterdays session was cured so I spent a while sanding the snorkle. Next I wanted to lay the final layers of glass which consisted of using my 8.5 oz fglass on the 2 inch role to lay around the seam where the snorkle was cut, and then I made a pattern and cut two pieces of 8.5 pz bolt cloth to lay on top of the 2 inch fglass.
With everything ready I got out the gloves, plastic wrap, and mixed the epoxy. Within the next few minutes I got the pieces laid using a cheap bristle brush to get everything laid down well. I had to hang it due to not being able to lay it on a table without the fglass touching the table. I actually went to eat dinner totally forgetting to put peel ply on the fglass....I immediately noticed after dinner and was ablt to get the peel ply on even though the resin had begun to cure. Hopefully it will make a good difference.
I then went back out into the shop and began processing the hinges for lower cowl and taped the lines for the placing the pro-seal where the cowl hinges will go. The pro-seal will help the rivets do their job a little easier.
