Finished work early today and headed out to the shop. I took the parts that I finished yesterday and got ready to rivet them. Before I did I looked at the cutouts where the baffle fits around and attaches to the cylinder and around the rocker covers. I wasn't happy with the clearance and ended up marking and making more clearance around the baffle and the rocker covers. I am using silicone gaskets and they stick out beyond the cover a bit so I didn't want to have trouble with the fit.
After getting all those done and cleaned up, I riveted the left and right rear baffles to the #3 and #4 cylinder baffles. I had to use flush rivets on the right baffle where the 4" hose flange attached in order for the flange to sit flat. As usual the riveting had it "problem rivets" and I used probably every form of riveting to get them completed. I worked the #1 and #2 baffled with the scotchbrite and riveted the baffle clips on each.
I need to work on the ramps and forward baffles next.....just about done with this time consuming portion of the build!
