In an earlier post I mentioned that I had forgot to run two other wires...those wires were the Main and Stby Alternator wires that go to terminal #6 on the regulators. So tonight I got started on these wires.
Since there were two wires to be run I got the spool of wire and figured out where I wanted to put the runs. After overlooking the possible routing locations I decided on the course and took the spool of 20AWG wire. I had to go through some adel clamps so I decided to double up the wires and run them together and cut them afterwards.
I got the first portion run to the adel clamp. The clamp was fairly full but there was scant space left. I took a piece of .032 safety wire bent it in half and was able to snake it through the clamp. Once getting it through I threaded the wire through the safety wire loop and pulled the wire through until I had enough to make the two runs to the electrical bay. I put a little lube on the wire as it was going to be a tight fit and then using a pair of safety wire pliers I clamped them on the safety wire and pulled....the wire got pulled through with just a little extra effort. I was able to get them routed and tied to the switch panel, cut the wire into two pieces and wired the Main and STBY alternator switches.
