A few months ago Rick called me and said he was going to make a trip to Ohio to get his Whirlwind propeller inspected at the factory and then come over to Virginia to get his new RV8 panel cut (which we had spoken about several times) and also give me a boost on my build project.
Rob Brooks and I were planning on flying his RV7 to meet Rick in Ohio....but the weather would just not cooperate so we jumped in my truck and made the round trip drive on Monday and returned on Wednesday. We had a good time kicking around Lake Erie communities and goofing off while waiting on the process.
Upon returning Rick and I spent the day Thursday locking down the panel cutouts and then machining the panel.....the panel was done by the end of the day!
