11-18-12 Part 1. Installed nutplates in the front floor and removed the corners on the aft portion which originally was sandwiched between the rear control mount and longeron. I installed the rear control mount into the fuse with a thin washer under each forward bolt to approximate the thickness of the tabs I removed from the front floor. After the control mount was bolted into position, I added the front floor—the forward portion is very tight where it fits over the wing bolts (don’t have them in, but have a bolt holding the false spar in place). I can get the floor in, but can’t get it out. Removed the control mount and floor. I shaved 1/16” off of the front portion of the floor in the area that passes over the wing bolts. Re-installed control mount, and slipped the floor in. Success! Although a bit difficult, I was able to remove the floor without removing the control mount.
Added nutplates & removed a piece of the corners
Tight fit--needs a wee bit of clearance
Floor can be installed/removed without removing control mount
