Brief Description:  Rivet skirts to canopy frame

I masked off everything I didn’t want to get primer on, and shot the areas where someone managed touch with a bit of Sikafex. After the primer dried, Nancy helped me put the canopy assembly back on the fuselage—I say “assembly” because it appears that the plexi, frame and skirts are now inseparable. I added clecoes to every other hole on both left and right skirts—then began riveting with CS4-4 pop rivets. I dipped each rivet in primer before pop riveting the skirt to the frame. After all the rivets were installed, I sanded the left skirt with 80 grit—seemed a lot like sanding concrete. After I made only a small pile of dust, I sanded the head of each rivet in preparation for micro. Tomorrow I plan to apply micro in the c/s holes now occupied by pop rivets.
