Tonight I worked on the windscreen to adjust the fit where it contacts the front top skin and the roll bar. Wanted to “tune” it up a bit before starting on the skirts to see how/where the skirts would meet up with the skin. I took off a strip about a ¼” wide from the back edge of the windscreen forward for about 4”. This brought the windscreen into the roll bar for a better fit. I marked the left skirt ½” from the scribed line. Manual says to leave a ¼” from the line, but most builders trim for the additional width to allow a margin of safety when fitting the skirt. After marking the skirt, I used a cutoff wheel on the dremel and started cutting the skirt. And I thought cutting the canopy created a mess! Cutting the fiberglass makes a fine dust instead of little plastic chips! Some sort of respiratory protection is definitely needed while working with this stuff.
