Taped the template for the wing cut out to install the Duckworks light on the right wing. Measured per the directions, then used a marker to trace the outline of the cut. Removed the template and drilled several ¼” holes around the perimenter of where the cut will be made. Then I used the step drill and opened up the holes to ¾”. I used a 2” cutoff disk to make the cuts between the holes. I intended to use a rotary file to get closer to the final cut line, but could not find it. Will pick up a new one tomorrow as well as a 2” drum sander. For now I have a big ugly hole in the leading edge—hope to get the cut cleaned up tomorrow night.
