Brief Description:  Landing Light Install-R. Wing-1

Received the Duckwork’s landing light install kit. After reading and re-reading the instructions (don’t want to screw up anything here!), I verified that everything was present—they even included an extra plexi lens for each side. Although most builders logs indicate they only needed one, it is nice to know if one gets scratched up or screwed up you can move along without waiting for more parts. Cut out the templates for the wing cutout and the spot on the ribs for the light bracket attachment. Marked and drilled #41 holes in the end rib. Need to flip the wing to right side up for measurement of the cut to be made in the leading edge. Will get Nancy to help me when she has time. Also cleaned up a small area of filiform corrosion on the skin near where the cut out will be made. Used a scotchbrite pad and cleaned with MEK. Then I used an alodyine pen to touch up the area.—1 hr.
