Brief Description: VS & Rudder TIps-16, HS & Elevator Tips-7
I sanded the joint area of the elevator tip—it appears to be much smoother that the initial rudder tip. After the last coat of filler primer on the rudder & VS, they still need more work. So, sanded down several areas. I mixed up a small batch of Super Fil-this time I added about 3 drops of denatured alcohol to thin the mixture up a bit. This seemed to make the filler go on much smoother. I had some left over, so I added it to the elevator tip. I still need more clearance with the HS to elevator tip, so I block sanded the closed end of the HS tip. It is getting close, but still need just a bit more to satisfy the 1/8” specified clearance.
Sanded, filled, sanded, filler primer--will it ever end?
