Brief Description: VS & Rudder Tips-15, Rudder Bottom Cap-1
Sanded the VS & Rudder tip after the Wonder Fil application. Shot some sanding primer on the tips. After the primer dried, it revealed a couple of spots that need further attention. Lightly sanded this areas and shot another coat on. I removed the peel ply from the elevator tip and sanded this tip also. Started fitting the bottom rudder cap—rather ugly fit initially. I cut out the area for the rudder horn and ground down the rear flange on the cap a bit and finally got it on the rudder—this is going to need a bit more work. Saw a tip on VAF where a builder attached his dremel to a block of wood so that both hands were free to guide the cutting. This worked out pretty well in making the cut on the rudder bottom cap.
