I dropped the tail down almost to the floor and installed the VS and rudder. With the rear of the fuse lowered, I can easily reach the top of VS/rudder fiberglass tips. Temporarily installed the tips on both. The VS tip is a bit long, so I trimmed off 1/8” off of the back end with the dremel. Checked fit and it looks like I need to trim off another 1/16” or so. Edge distance on the VS looks good—but I have some edge distance issues on the rudder tip, so I cut some .032 strips which will be bonded to the fiberglass tip.
