Brief Description:  Rudder-Dimple Skeleton

Dimpled and scuffed with maroon pad the 801 skin, 703 rib, 713 counterbalance skin, 716 attach strips and the 710 rudder horn. Used the pneumatic squeezer for all but the 2 holes on each side at the trailing edge of the 703 rib. Used a pop dimple die for those holes—not as good a dimple, but should be adequate. Dimpling the 704 bottom rib poses a bit of a problem. The holes in the flange are a bit close to the inside bend of the web. My female die would not sit flush against the flange. So, I took an old female die, chucked it in my drill and spun it against my running band sander. Turned the die down until it fits flush inside the flange/web bend. Inserted the die into the squeezer yoke. Now, it seems the nose of the yoke contacts the web, not allowing the female die to sit flush against the flange. Will have to think about this issue a bit more.
