Brief Description:  Lower ramp seals-2

I finished up bending the clamp strip for the left side and cut a strip of baffle seal as well. I drilled the clamp to the cowl and installed both left and right seals and clamping strips with clecoes. Then it was a chore to get the lower cowl back on—almost a 2 person job. I would get the seal material started on right side then move to the left and start the seal—meanwhile, the right side popped loose. It was back and forth for awhile, but I finally prevailed. On the left side, I have no metal air ramp for the seal to rest on. It was removed to get enough clearance for the air filter duct. However, with the seal in place, the filter slips under and when seated in position, it forms a seal between the material and the top of the air filter. I have seen others done this way—the only alternative is to cut the cowling back about ¾” which makes the left inlet appear very short compared to the right side.
