Brief Description: L. pant--install nut plates, c/s for tinnermans
I started on the left pant and followed pretty much the same procedure as the previous day on the right pant. Match drilled #27, used nut plate jig, c/s holes, rivet on the nut plates. Also, riveted the U808 bracket to the left pant. Next, I used a #27 countersink on the seven holes where the front half attaches to the aft half. The K1000-06 nut plates were used as a guide to keep the c/s from “wandering” in the hole. I installed tinnerman washers and #6 screws to attach the two halves together. Did a repeat of this on the right pant. Tomorrow, I plan to install the pants and use the nut plates in the U807 brackets as a guide to c/s for the #8 attachment screws.
