Brief Description: Installed com antennas, trim springs
I attached the springs from the manual aileron trim to the tabs on the control tube. Then, I added a zip tie on each side of the tab to eliminate the spring noise. This seemed to work—while moving the stick side to side, the zip ties keep the springs from sliding on the control tube, thus eliminating the noise. Next, I installed the two com antennas to the bottom of the fuse—torqued the mounting nuts to 20” lbs. per the instructions. Then, I connected the coax from the radios to the antennas with the BNC connecters. I installed the front floor/footwell assembly with clecoes. I checked with my DAR and he wants them out for inspection—so, I’ll wait on the 30 some screws until after inspection. He also wants the left mid cabin cover off—ugg, I’ll have to remove the Andair handle again—it’s a bit of a pain. I stripped the wires that attach to the fuel tank senders, but ran short of getting the terminals crimped on.
